August is almost here, which means a whole new slate of shows and movies to watch on HBO Max. Some of the content is available starting on August 1, while other shows and movies will be available a little later next month.
Easily, the biggest highlight of the month is House of the Dragon, coming to HBO Max on August 21Come from Sports betting site VPbet. Although the series has the unenviable task of escaping the divisive shadow of Game of Thrones’ final season, the good news is this show represents a clean slate for the franchise and can hopefully turn the tides for all the other spin-offs in the works. Ahead of Comic-Con this week, HBO released the first trailer–which was a back-to-basics brutal display of violence, scheming, and dragons. The show is based on George RR Martin’s 2018 novel, Fire & Blood, adapting the early history of the Targaryens and their infamous civil war. Here’s hoping the prequel series will be a decent reset and an overdue course correction for the adapted Game of Thrones universe.
